**Job Description**:
Working as part of the operations and production team at Glenrothes, the Lead Setter is responsible for providing support to the production lead hand and production manager, as well as being responsible for the safe setting and operation of power presses and/or brake press.

**Responsibilities**
- Setting and operating power and brake presses within the production area.
- Assisting and arranging the changeovers and setting of the hard tool presses on shift.
- Signing off the power presses and ensure all start of shift checks are completed.
- Basic fault finding on presses and adjusting settings on presses - supported where required by Mechanical and Electrical Resource.
- Initial point of escalation for all issues on shift with regards shift queries when out with production office hours.
- Operate forklift trucks for the removal of finished product into the warehouse where required.
- Material handling
- loading and unloading.
- Inspection and Quality control of manufactured components.
- Assembling/packing parts ready for dispatch.
- Using a pedestrian and counter balance forklift where required.
- Any other reasonable and relevant duties as and when required.
- Amendments to production plan out with production office hours
- Making improvements to production processes, including shakers, collection systems etc.

**Health & Safety**
- Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in your working area (6S).
- Completing safety checks on all equipment as required.
- Actively participate in safety initiatives. Support 6s and safety champions where required.
- Ensure all guarding and safety equipment is in place and used when needed.
- Personal protective equipment to be worn when required including safety glasses, steel toe cap boots etc.
- Report all health and safety or maintenance issues.
- Ensure health and safety requirements are met and understand all relevant safety regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- Leads effectively and delivers results.
- The ability to work well under pressure.
- Effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of manufacturing at our Glenrothes facility.
- Motivated individual who is flexible and willing to learn continuous best practice.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational, time management and attention to detail skills
- Comfortable in being able work alone and/or within a team environment, contributing and sharing best practices, resources and ideas in order to continually improve.
- The ability to work to set standards and procedures.

Additional Information

Full Time Rotational Dayshift/Backshift, 40 hours per week
