The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS trust plays a huge part in west Essex and east and north Hertfordshire's way of life.
The trust runs a busy hospital, The Princess Alexandra Hospital and provides services at St. Margaret's Hospital and Herts and Essex Hospital. Together serve a population of around 350,000 people.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:
- Undertake a broad variety of administrative tasks for Directors including; managing an extremely active calendar of appointments, composing and preparing correspondence; arranging complex and detailed travel plans and itineraries and filtering post.
- Be responsible for the administration of meetings as required by the Directors, ensuring the preparation of high-quality presentation material, taking and transcribing of minutes, compiling action lists and monitoring of the actions, collation and distribution of associated documentation, room bookings and organising catering if required.
- Organising 1-1‘s, Six Monthly Reviews and Annual Appraisals, for direct reports to the Directors and highlight availability of key staff for all key meetings and/or projects.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above
**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and minute taking.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
- Previous experience of working in an Executive Assistant post or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a similar role within the NHS.
