Sheffield, United Kingdom Change Grow Live Full time

Overview:
Join our volunteer team as we visit festivals and other events throughout Derbyshire and Sheffield. You’ll play an important role in providing advice and information to young people at these events, ensuring 1625 Outreach can interact with as many people as possible.

We are looking for volunteers to attend one or more of the following events:

- Download Festival (14 - 16 June)
- Base Fest (20 & 21 July)
- Tramlines (26 - 28 July)
- YNOT Festival (1 - 4 August)
- Local pride events (TBC)

As a Festival and Events Volunteer with 1625 Outreach, you’ll be required to volunteer for a minimum of 2 consecutive days per event, undertaking a 6 hour shift each day. In exchange for this, you’ll receive the following:

- Free access to the festival when not volunteering.
- Expenses paid for, including travel, food and camping equipment (if staying overnight)

**Responsibilities**:
1625 Outreach is no normal drug and alcohol service. It is an innovative and forward-thinking project, with a proven track record of effectively engaging young people and young adults. Our ethos is centred around the principles of harm reduction. We provide non-judgmental, fact-based, information and advice surrounding drug and alcohol use and the associated risks. We aim to give young people and young adults the knowledge and skills to make more informed choices, to keep themselves and their peers aware, safe, and well when it comes to drugs/alcohol.

You will be supported with a range of training opportunities, including access to specialist accredited learning (1625 Academy) and further volunteering opportunities.

As well as receiving extensive training and experience through this role, we hope you will also have lots of fun and enjoyment as you volunteer with us. You’ll also meet other 1625 Outreach volunteers in this role and have an opportunity to contribute to the important work 1625 Outreach does in your community.
