A leading educational institution in Newham, is seeking two dedicated professionals to join their dynamic team. They are committed to meeting the academic, therapeutic, and vocational needs of the students, striving to increase their independence and create a nurturing environment.
**Position Overview**:
As a Behaviour & Pastoral Mentor, you will work closely with mentors and the Senior Leadership Team under the direction of the Headteacher. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Leading efforts to improve the quality of provision related to behaviour and positive handling with professionalism and high expectations.
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of school life for all pupils by implementing effective behaviour and positive handling procedures.
**Key Requirements**:
- Experience of working within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) environment.
- Previous experience in handling behaviour matters within an educational provision.
- Familiarity with working with young people within a school environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A positive and committed attitude towards inclusive education.
- Strong team player skills.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: £100.00-£130.00 per day
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Newham, Greater London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
