To carry out any other reasonable duties as designated by the Nurse Manager
- Advise Management on fitness of an employee to undertake their full range of duties.
- Responsible for patient care-organise programmes for all clients as appropriate and maintain information on their immunisation status
- Provide confidential support and advice for employees including Needle stick injuries, substance abuse, bereavement, stress, infection control, violence to staff.
- Undertake/organise specific health surveillance of "at risk" groups to trust staff and income generation clients, advising the Nurse Manager of any areas of concern.
- Responsible for policy/service development.
- Arrange/Undertake pre-employment health screening, identifying any conditions which will require adjustments and advising managers, supporting and managing the staff to undertake the same.
- Advise management on the fitness of an employee to undertake their full range duties including advice on any adjustments or modifications.
- To advise management on an employees fitness to work following a period of sickness absence including any adjustments that may be required as a result of their current or past medical condition.
- Support and supervise Occupational Health Advisors and trainee Occupational Health advisors in all areas of Occupational Health practice in liaison with the Nurse Manager.
- Maintain and safeguard confidential health records.
- Organise/undertake health awareness programmes to advise clients in groups or as individuals on issues such as smoking cessation, trust induction including Junior Drs, health lifestyle and specific health and safety issues.
- Organise/undertake environmental surveys advising the Occupational Physician, Managers and Risk and Safety Manager as appropriate.
- Organise/undertake specific Occupational Health surveillance t the clients own site when required while still maintaining a high standard of professional expertise.
- Act up in the absence of nurse manager.
