Job Introduction
We have an exciting role for a** Geospatial Surveyor** to support the provision and assurance of a comprehensive Geomatics service, working with internal customers, external customers and data owners to provide services which meet their needs and inform decision making.

You will also support specific landholding related data, standards and service improvement activities and act as a technical specialist for the management and analysis of Geospatial landholding asset data to the industry.

Our AIS teams provide reliable and sustainable products and services to Network Rail and industry customers. They provide insight and intelligence that is used to keep passenger and freight services moving. Using cutting-edge, world leading technology, such as lasers, ultrasonics, and high-resolution imagery; the team check the tracks structure, position and condition, they also monitor the high voltage wires and rails that supplier power to the trains. With this and the use of geo-analytical intelligence, we can plan maintenance and renewal works from the safety of our offices and depos, reducing risk to our colleagues and disruption to our services.

**What Are My Working Hours?**

Normal office hours. You will need to hold a UK driving licence as various site visits will be required away from home. Open to flexible working arrangements.

**What’s the local area like?**

Our Eversholt Street office is located next to Euston Station which is the southern terminus of the West Coast Main Line, the UK’s busiest Inter City Line and a gateway to popular destinations like Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow. This location is also served by the tube network at Euston Underground Station.

Main Responsibilities
**What will you be doing?**

You’ll be part of an enthusiastic and diverse team which provides:
- Bespoke plans and mapping products using the corporate geographical information system (GIS) and Computer Aided Design (CAD).
- Topographical, boundary definition and measured building surveys using GPS and Total Station survey equipment.
- Expert advice in land ownership records, Geospatial landholding data analysis and technical expertise, liaising with internal and external customers and data owners.

We understand you may not have all of the skills required for this role, but further training can be provided.

**Main Responsibilities**

You will be delivering bespoke cartographic products, survey data outputs, and expert advice using a combination of the following skills:
- Good knowledge of ESRI suite: ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro
- Use of surveying equipment; Leica TS15 and GS18 or similar
- Basic knowledge of Autodesk CAD products or similar
- The ability to work with spatial data in various formats.
- Post Qualified Experience (PQE) in providing Geomatics services, especially the use of GIS based systems.
- Eligible for or working towards Membership of RICS or a relevant professional body.
- Excellent oral, written, communication and negotiation skills.
- Decision making skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to work with customers and understand their requirements.
- Building confidence over time to be comfortable to advise when there is a better way to deliver the customer outcomes required.
