**Building Stock Condition Surveyor**

This is a unique opportunity to be a valued member of an established team of passionate property professionals in the role of an experienced and professional building stock condition surveyor.

As part of a wider team including M&E engineers and building surveyors, you will be responsible for collating accurate stock condition data based on your passion and extensive knowledge of building construction and building defects. You will be working predominately within the county of Warwickshire in a variety of settings, where we have a diverse range of properties to assess including country parks, heritage properties, schools, offices, fire stations, museums and libraries.

You will enjoy the challenge of bringing your expertise and enthusiasm for meeting new people and providing profession advice. You will be key in continuing our success of providing high quality property management services to enable our council to inspire and support the communities of Warwickshire.

**The Role**:
37 hours per week

£34,723 - £37,261

Generous Annual Leave entitlement - 26 days service, plus bank holidays and an additional Company Day at Christmas.

Professional Membership fees - Payment of RICS or similar professional membership fees.

You will manage your own time and work autonomously, responding to changing priorities and workload. Working from a cyclical programme of surveys you will conduct stock condition surveys assessing the status of the building fabric elements using a tablet and our specially designed software. You will liaise with colleagues and the property’s occupiers to learn about live condition issues to produce high quality comprehensive budgeted priority and condition graded assessments. With your IT skills you will upload and finesse the reports in our property management software for issuing to our colleagues.

These reports are used to effectively target and efficiently utilise our funding for prioritised capital work programmes and to support significant funding bids.

As a qualified, ambitious and motivated building condition surveyor you will be provided with all the support and continuous development needed to deliver our high quality service.

ou will be required to travel to various properties within Warwickshire County.

The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
