Event in a Tent Ltd are a Tent Hire company based on the North Wales/English Border, offering Tipis, Stretch Tents and Geo Domes across the UK. We are now recruiting and are looking for hard working individuals to lead our rigging teams for our busy summer season.

Event In A Tent set up a range of tipis, and other temporary structures for events such as weddings and festivals across the country. As a company we cover pretty much all of the UK (most events are within a 2-3hr radius of Oswestry), so early starts, long hours and plenty of travel are part and parcel of this job. You will have ideally worked in the industry before and will definitely be advantageous, but full training will be provided. It is essential that you are hard working and willing to work long hours, outdoors in all weathers, and are aware this is a physically demanding role.

We are looking for proactive, hardworking, confident and flexible people to join or friendly team for our busy summer period to help run our crews in setting up a range of tipis and other temporary structures for events such as weddings and festivals across the country. (with the possibility of a permanent position after the season)

You do not need to have worked in the industry before, as full training will be provided but it is definitely advantageous and must be confident and able to lead a crew of between 2-5 people.

Successful applicants will need to have a good level of physical fitness, enjoy working outdoors no matter the weather, and be presentable and reliable, with good communication skills and the ability to think on their feet. They will also be able to show initiative and work as part of a friendly and focused team. A good understanding of Health and Safety is required due to the nature of the work.

Work will include the Rig and De-Rig of structures for many different types of events, maintenance of equipment, as well as warehouse and yard work.

Hours vary greatly, and can often exceed 48 hours per week, including weekend work when required.
Work will be across the UK. Some work may require staying away from home - accommodation and meals will be paid for by the company.

Primary Duties Include:

- Leading of our crews in setting up and dismantling our range of tipis and other structures, safely and efficiently.
- Picking stock and loading vehicles accurately ready for events.
- Maintenance of stock, including cleaning, fixing and repairs.
- Driving company vehicles to and from site.
- Other misc. duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Valid Driving Licence
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow directions and work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to take instruction, use initiative and communicate well with fellow crew members.
- High attention to detail, and a desire to complete a task to a high standard
- Practically minded and good problem solving skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working times and occasions. Able to work weekends and overnight when required
- Ability to carry out physical work and lead by example.
- Hardworking and a willingness to get the job done
- Polite, helpful and friendly to others.
- Patience with other members of staff, customers and the public
- Desire to work outdoors in often adverse weather conditions.
- First Aid Qualification (desirable)
- Manual Handling Qualification (desirable)
- Fork Lift Licence (desirable)
- IPAF/ PASMA/ Work at Height (desirable)
- Previous build or site experience would be desirable.
- Previous experience in labouring/landscaping/events, or any other similar physical role

**Salary**: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week

- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme
