**About the Role**: Sovereign Medical Centre is looking to recruit a friendly, hardworking Administrator / Receptionist to join our team.

Part-time job sharing may be possible.

Salary according to qualifications and experience

The main responsibilities of the role include:

- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice
- Scanning patient information into computerised records i.e. medical documents, hospital records and letters as necessary;
- Retrieve paper notes as requested;
- Photocopy documents as required;
- Deal with referrals to primary care;
- Dealing with the general public face to face and by telephone
- Maintaining the reception area
- Reviewing and summarising medical records;
- Registering new patients;
- Handling phone enquiries efficiently.
- Adaptable and friendly with strong administration, time management and organisational skills.
- Experience in general practice would be an advantage
- Excellent communicators who work in a confidential and discreet manner and are able to think on their feet in a busy working environment.
- Able to multi-task, work hard and maintain high level of attention to detail when under pressure.
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as comfortable working independently.

Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional/alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
