**Sysco GB have an exciting opportunity for Head of Financial Control to join the Central Finance Team who will drive the execution and continuous improvement agenda of financial controls and reporting across the alignment of 4 UK companies thatform Sysco GB ‘Brakes, KFF, Medina & SSG’** Reporting to the Finance Director for Operational Finance, the role has responsibility for the controls, assurance and external reporting for Sysco GB, whilst providing insight to add value throughout all four companies and focus on the transformation andalignment project, contributing towards our recipe for growth. The role will lead the increasing alignment of all four operating companies in Sysco GB working with the US parent company standards to head up Sysco GB Central Finance.

This role is based at our office located in Ashford, Kent, however we are offering a flexible hybrid contract, with 2-3 monthly visit into the office, so you must be within in a commutable distance and comfortable with travel to Kent as and when required.

**Accountabilities**:

- To lead and develop the Financial Control team across Sysco GB, comprising fully qualified accountants and trainees in role.
- Lead the GB month-end close process ensuring results are delivered in line with agreed timeframes and the process is well controlled and efficient, including submission of BPC financial consolidation packages to Sysco International.
- To monitor the GB balance sheet through monthly submissions KPIs and quarterly reviews with the FD and CFO.
- Ownership of the bad debt provision and other headline provisions in line with group accounting policies
- Ownership of the intercompany accounting and investigation of material variances.
- Manage the external and internal audit process ensuring work is appropriately planned and delivered on a timely basis.
- To ensure controls are operating effectively across all Finance processes, in particular ensuring the integrity of reporting across our complex system landscape.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the financial control environment with a continuous improvement mindset
- Ensure compliance with UK and US regulation and reporting, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
- Support the Finance Director with cross functional/operating company projects to deliver systems and process improvements, ensuring a robust platform for the future.
- Ownership of cashflow reporting and analysis alongside regular monitoring of working capital key performance indicators
- To provide detailed analysis to the FD and CFO of the risks and opportunities present within the balance sheet.
- Provide support to the finance shared service accounts payable and accounts receivable teams, as required by the Finance Director.
- Support the wider business in understanding the systems and accounting for projects
- To lead alignment of all operating companies in Sysco GB to comply with Sysco US processes and controls, seeking common solutions and processes across the business.???????

**Knowledge, Skills and Competencies**You’ll be a fully qualified accountant with at least 5 years PQE (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) operating at a senior level. You will drive performance through insight in a face paced commercial environment and will haveprevious experience of working in an FMCG, commercial or multi-site environment.
