**Job Summary**

Are you passionate about changing the lives of young people and helping children’s homes to develop the support they provide?

Would you be able to act as a critical friend to our clients and provide detailed and analytical reports that focus on the safety and wellbeing of children?

**Responsibilities and Duties**

We believe in matching the experience and skills of our visitors, to the specialisms and needs of our clients. We value your input during this process and do everything we can to promote a functional relationship thereafter. Once allocated to a children’s home, short breaks service or residential school, you will be responsible for carrying out monthly/half termly visit’s. Whilst you will do this independently, our managing director will be available for ongoing support and will provide you with regular feedback/learning points. Your remit will be to determine whether the home/school is effectively safeguarding their young people and promoting their wellbeing. The reports you submit will need to an objective account of your findings and where necessary, provide insight/evaluation.

**Qualifications and Skills**

You will have extensive knowledge of the 'Social Care Common Inspection Framework', the 'Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015', and the 'Guide to the Children's Homes Regulations, including the quality standards'.

As a Regulation 44 visitor for Changing Outcomes, you will have the ability to build up a rapport/relationship with young people and act as a critical friend to the provider.

Previous experience successfully managing a residential children's home or service inspected by Ofsted is essential.

Access to a car and full driving licence is needed for this role.
