**Position**: Chief Executive Officer

**Salary**: £55,000 to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

**Hours**: Full time, 37.5 hours per week; permanent/flexible working

**Location**: Grimsby

**Benefits**: Employer pension contribution, 25 days’ annual leave plus 8 bank holiday days

**About the role**:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the OnSide network and become the 16th Youth Zone committed to giving young people the opportunity to discover their passion and purpose.

This Chief Executive role is strategic, requiring effectiveness at a high level, yet at the same time it demands detailed and hands-on management. You will have responsibility for a revenue budget of c.£1.3-1.4m per annum and should be able to influence effectively at senior level, whilst also be willing to get stuck into the detail; all this in an environment without corporate support structures. As Chief Executive, your relationship with the Chair of the Board will be supportive and challenging, enabling you to deliver on-going success for the Youth Zone. The successful person and Youth Zone team will have support and development opportunities throughout the first 18 months, and we are looking to begin this role from August 2023.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Working with the Chair and Board to lead the continued development of the Youth Zone strategic plan, together with the delivery of a robust funding plan to ensure the long-term sustainability of the charity
- Nurturing and developing the Youth Zone’s vision and to lead and inspire the team to be effective in their roles, supporting them to deliver a wide range of activities for young people
- Working with the local business community and other services providers to generate added benefits for young people and showcase Grimsby Youth Zone as an asset for the whole community
- Demonstrating the charity’s values and a commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

**About you**:
As an exceptional leader, motivated to improve young people’s lives for the better, you will have the ability to think strategically and develop a long-term vision for the young people of Grimsby, bringing with you a successful track record of developing organisations or large teams, experience of generating significant income and time spent in the voluntary sector and/or working with young people. Your communications and people management skills will be strong, together with an ability to build inclusive relationships and display excellent judgement and focus at all times.
