We’re seeking an adaptable and tenacious Finance Systems / Process Improvement Professional to lead an ambitious programme of Finance Systems Change in our Shared Service Centre: People Services (including Payroll & Time Recording); Operational Finance (Procure to Pay; Order to Cash & Banking); Projects & Assets; or Record to Report (General Accounting).

With no direct reports, this is a project management position, leading remote and virtual teams in vendors, IT and compliance, which are both onshore and offshore.

**Key Accountabilities**:
We are looking for a continuous improvement lead for a group of primarily SAP based Finance systems and become a Subject Matter Expert:

- Lead the pivot of our fledgling Process Improvement Teams to fully fledged Agile delivery teams.
- Champion the approach with senior stakeholders in Finance, IT and the wider business.
- Facilitate the delivery of your customers’ objective’s.
- Provide insights into best practices in Finance - organisation, processes and technology.
- Provide constant challenge to the teams you oversee to eliminate work that adds no value, improve current processes and ways of working and remove complexity.
- Remove blockers to progress on behalf of your product teams.
- Nimble navigation of IT’s and Finance’s change approval processes and governance.
- Input to the development of IT strategy and roadmaps for our back-office ERP systems.
- Assist in the development of an annual IT investment plan and secure IT investment funding.
- Supervise the production of monthly forecasts and other regular and performance reporting.

**About You**:
We’re looking for an Accountant (qualified or QBE) as an expert in Financial Processes and SAP systems - you'll provide thought leadership, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. You’ll have a deep understanding of a range of Finance processes including at least 2 of: Procure to Pay P2P, General Ledger Accounting R2R, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Order to Cash O2C, and experience of ERP systems delivery - either as a user or member of a project implementation team. Experience of SAP S/4 Hana an advantage but not essential. This isn’t a technical specialist role, and training can be provided in Agile system delivery and the toolset chosen to support it (JIRA, JIRA Align & Confluence).

In person, you’ll be self-motivated, able to work under your own initiative and problem-solve. You’ll be tenacious, able to deal with ambiguity and thrive in an ever-changing environment.

A competitive salary of £60-65,000 per annum - dependent on capability and experience.
