- Leek Wootton, Warwick
- Hybrid working (3 days office based and 2 from home). More office based work will be required in the first month for training purposes

- £28530 - £33348 per annum + benefits
- You will ensure that the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Exchequer Services Team runs efficiently and effectively on a day-to-day basis.
- You will also ensure that payments made and received by the organisation are processed and managed accurately and in a timely manner.
- You will develop the use of the payments system within the E-financial systems and ensure the effective delivery of financial information and adequate internal control framework to meet the aims of the business.
- You will a own the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions within the E-financial systems.
- You will ensure the effective day to day management and control of the accounts payable section to ensure that suppliers are paid accurately and on time, in accordance with terms and conditions and HMRC rules.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Professional Diploma in Accounting (Level 4), or equivalent (Eg Qualified full member of the AAT), or qualified by experience.
- Significant experience of working within Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Understanding of HMRC VAT rules.
- Clear understanding of arrangements necessary to ensure adequate internal control within the payments and income ledgers within the finance systems and procedures.
- Understanding of the principles and workings of a purchase to pay system.
- Understanding of Construction Industry Tax.
- Understanding of the functionality available from a contemporary finance system.
- Understanding of the financial accounting that underpins Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger
- Operating a contemporary finance system including purchase to pay.
- Developing a payments system in light of experience, customer feedback and to meet audit recommendations.
- Reconciling purchase and sales ledger.
- Preparing explanation and evidence for auditors.
- Demonstrable track record of providing a high quality, customer focused finance service.
- Producing procedures and guidance notes.
- Experience of managing a team to deliver a high-quality financial service against conflicting deadlines and challenging timescales.
- Working to a high degree of accuracy and pays attention to detail.
- Numerate.
- Effective interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to deal tactfully and sensitively with people at all levels.
- Good communications and influencing skills.
- Proven track record as an effective team player and the ability to keep people focused in spite of setback/difficulty.
- The ability to work unsupervised on own initiative to tight deadlines and prioritise a demanding workload.
- Ability to operate calmly and professionally under pressure.
- Able to extract data from finance systems.
- Competent in the use of Excel, Word and Outlook.
- The ability to deal with all confidential matters with absolute discretion and integrity.
