2 x permanent Restorative Worker, Lancashire Child, and Youth Justice Service. 1 x part time (18.5hrs) and 1 x full time.
Lancashire Child and Youth Justice Service works with children aged 8-18 either involved with or at risk of entering the Youth Justice System. Our guiding principles as a service are:
- Child-First
- Trauma Informed
- Restorative
Restorative Workers support Lancashire Child and Youth Justice Service to deliver a high-quality restorative offer which aims to repair and address the harm caused to children, victims of crime and communities. The role will involve working with victims of crime, children and families providing a wide range of restorative approaches and interventions. This will include the facilitation of direct and indirect restorative justice processes. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues within the Child and Youth Justice Service and ensure all work is undertaking in accordance with the CYJS service principles, Child First, Trauma Informed and Restorative. The post holder will work alongside a small team of Restorative Workers. Restorative workers work closely with CYJS Social Workers, CYJS Workers and need to work with other services and organisations to ensure effective service delivery.
CYJS have received a "good" HMIP Inspection judgement. Our staff are our key asset and Restorative Workers will benefit from having a varied workload, a chance to make a real difference to children, families, and victims of crime by delivering direct interventions, a supportive management structure and an impressive training offer.
