Wales, United Kingdom St Giles Trust Full time

**Job Summary**:
Are you a dynamic, compassionate, and target-driven individual with a proven record of working in a multiagency/disciplinary team and engaging positively with challenging people or other vulnerable groups? Looking for an exciting and highly rewarding new career opportunity?

If so, join St Giles Trust as our **Volunteer Co-ordinator**. You will be part of a small team providing support for adult males convicted of Serious Sexual offences, focusing on holistically addressing a range of personal wellbeing issues faced by service users referred by the Probation Service.

**About St Giles Trust**
St Giles Trust is a Charity helping people facing severe disadvantage to find jobs, homes, and the right support they need. We help them to become positive contributors to local communities and wider society. We passionately believe everybody is capable of changing their lives. Our mission is to help our clients achieve this through offering support from someone who has been there. Our peer-led services form the backbone of our work.

St Giles and Adferiad came together to form a partnership with the aim of delivering Circles of Support and Accountability by offering a high-quality service underpinned by staff and Volunteers who have lived experience and cultural competency across Wales.

**About this key role**
As the volunteer coordinator you will be required to establish and co-ordinate circles of support and accountability for adults convicted of serious sexual offences. Promote and develop awareness of the Service among relevant statutory and voluntary sector partners. Deliver the service in close partnership with prisons, probation, and police.

You will support with related tasks, ensuring compliance, assisting with day-to-day queries from the team and our partners, and escalating where necessary to the team manager.

You will work with volunteers assigning them to an adult and support them to build positive nurturing relationships by delivering mentoring to ensure agreed outcomes are met. You will need to ensure there are clear pathways for signposting to other relevant services and identify local opportunities such as mental health support or other positive activities.

**What we are looking for**
- Experience of working within male adults in the criminal justice system, whether in the community or in prisons.
- Experience of engaging successfully with vulnerable people and challenging people, for example people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused.
- Experience of working with people that have had sexually harmful behaviours.
- Experience in working with partner agencies, either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project
- Experience of undertaking risk and needs assessments.

**Closing date: 11 p.m. Sunday 16 July 2023.**

**Interview date: 26 July on Teams.**

In return, you can expect a competitive salary, generous leave allowance, staff pension, flexible working, a mentoring programme, an advice and counselling service, childcare vouchers, season ticket loan and much more.
