**The Job**:
Working in the Council’s Gas Enforcement team you will:

- Assist in conducting day-to-day inspections and the investigation of complaints to ensure compliance with relevant gas legislation.
- Collect, manage, and interpret data and gather intelligence in relation to gas safety and supply activities.
- Assist with the monitoring and management of service expenditure, helping ensure that financial targets are met, and examining any areas where budgets and expenditure exceed their agreed tolerances.
- Maintain and update records and support teams with data entry and numerical data.
- Develop professional relationships with your own team and with others who we work alongside and provide services to.
- Build on your existing communication skills, gain invaluable experience and build your self-confidence through your day-to-day workplace activities.

**Training and Development**:
Within your role you will:

- Complete a Level 4 Regulatory Compliance qualification funded by the Council. This will involve attendance at a college and/or completing tasks in the workplace (depending on specific course requirement).
- Join a personal and professional development programme that will involve a series of varied development activities and events throughout your time with the Council.

After you have successfully completed your Apprenticeship, you will have gained valuable workplace experience and attained a professional qualification which will improve your chances of finding work either within the Council or with another employer or help you move on to a higher level apprenticeship elsewhere, including a route Social Work.

You will have networked across the Council and be aware of the internal job market during your time with us and we will provide support on your approach to the wider job market as part of your development programme.
- Be a Hammersmith & Fulham resident or care leaver aged 16+ who has lived in the UK.
- Have the Right to Work in the UK.
- Have lived in the UK for the past 3 years (part of the funding requirement).
- Not currently be qualified in Regulatory Compliance at Level 4 or above.
- Currently not undertaking any other formal form of study (e.g. college or university course).
