**Salary**: £29,109- £33,739 / NQT £26,649 - £28,265 Pro rata

**Hours**: 18.5 hours per week
**Contract Length**: Fixed term until July 2023

**About This Position**:
We have a new opportunity for an English support tutor to provide effective and collaborative small group sessions to students on a Part time - Fixed term basis working 18.5 hours per week until July 2023.

The purpose of this position is to work with both students and their teachers to identify gaps in learning, develop strategies and to support progress in a way that proactively achieves results for students throughout their learning journey.

**Responsibilities**
- To support the planning and preparation of sessions and resources
- Undertake ongoing assessment of learner work both in class and through regular out of class activity to monitor progress.
- To complete and submit all paperwork in a timely manner, including exam entries and accredited achievements.
- Reflect on own practice, including teaching, learning and assessment, and review and implement ways in which the learning experience can be improved.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve agreed outcomes and objectives and contribute to curriculum area duties.

**Experience**
- Proven track record delivering teaching methods that inspire, motivate and engage learners in learning
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues

**Qualifications**
- A full teaching qualification with QTS/ QTLS or professional recognition in learning and skills (or currently working towards)
- A good standard of education including Maths and English Grade A* - C or Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
- Previous experience of successful teaching on related courses is desirable.
