Robert Half is pleased to be partnering with an international group business based in Camridgeshire, with a view to bringing in a German speaking accountant to support the Financial Controller in the creation and presentation of the monthly accounts, aswell as the German shared service centre through analysis of financial data and reporting for senior stakeholders. This is a hybrid role with occasional international travel to Germany.

**Role Responsibilites**:

- Process the complete current accounting - including G/L accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed asset accounting.
- Set up accruals and deferrals, and continuously check the entries made during the year.
- Preparation of reports, budget planning, forecasts, liquidity plans and cash flow overviews as well as analysis of business management evaluations
- Preparation and responsibility of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to tax and commercial law including reporting (in USGAAP)
- Support of economic and tax audits
- Responsibility for tax and statistical reporting, invoicing and dunning processes
- Continuous optimization of accounting processes
- Prepare the quarterly Inventory provision and obsolescence analysis
- Support cross-functional teams to improve financial performance of the company.
- Monthly Overhead analysis
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations including US SOX compliance
- Assist with interim and year end Audit.

**Desired Experience**:

- Experience in a finance department of a global, multi-product company.
- Completed commercial training or comparable qualification with focus on financial accounting, balance sheet accountant, tax clerk alternatively further training as accounting specialist or financial accountant (f/m/d)
- Extensive knowledge of financial and tax law
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player and relationship building skills.
- German and English speaking is essential.
- Experience within a group finance structure
- 5 years+ professional experience in finance and accounting
- Knowledge of US SOX requirements
