- Job description 1**Administrator - Vehicle Recovery, Abnormal Loads and Alarms**

**Rugby**

**Fixed Term Contract (8 months to cover maternity leave)**

**Full Time**

**_ Salary (£24,921.00 - £27,351.00)_**

The main purpose of the role is to support the Manager and act as SPOC for, and to administer the legal and policy compliance of the following business areas:
Abnormal Indivisible loads

Alarms

Vehicle Recovery

**Main Responsibilities**:
To respond to requests and requirements of service users, outside agencies and the general public within legal and policy guidelines adopted by Warwickshire Police in order to minimise organisational risk and maximise public safety.

To be the main point of contact, to provide specialist and technical support and advice.

To administer the vehicle recovery scheme for Warwickshire Police (internally managed or via a managing agent). To verify reasons for seizure as required and arbitrate regarding use of statutory powers and release and disposal of vehicles.

To be the main point of contact on behalf of Warwickshire Police for the administration of security systems. To receive requests, add and remove security system details on the command and control systems and review usage as required, taking relevant and appropriate action.

To administer, update, analyse and interrogate IT records in accordance with Force policy, Management of Police Information (MoPI) and national guidelines.

To assist the Manager VR, AL & Alarms in effecting any change process required to align the functions relating to the above business areas.

To liaise with and support the Manager VR, AL & Alarms in providing Business Continuity in the nominated business area.

To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required, including cover for colleagues, as required.

**Knowledge**:
***5 A-C grade GCSE’s (or equivalent) including English Language

Good knowledge of the road network within the geographical area encompassed by the aligned force

Proven knowledge of the legislation related to at least one of the related business areas

**Experience**:
Experience of working as part of a team

**Key Skills**:
Proven ability to gather information and to prioritise tasks

Proven ability to gather and collate information using appropriate questioning techniques and create and maintain accurate records

Proven ability to work under pressure, managing high and varied work loads

Competent in the use of IT including Microsoft packages

Proven ability to communicate both orally and in written form with a wide range of people

Good data input skills
