Supported Housing Assistant

To be part of a small, friendly housing team supporting residents aged 18-65 on their journey to independent living. As the Supported Housing Assistant, you will be first point of contact for both residents and visitors entering the project. With attention to detail, you will provide the team with administrative support along with health and safety monitoring through regular checks and audits.
- Act as the first point of call, answering telephones, taking messages and resolving queries wherever possible.
- Maintain the security and safety of the residents and building by undertaking site walks, monitoring CCTV, assisting with room checks and ensuring guests are aware of all relevant procedures.
- Check fire safety equipment is adequate and report any health & safety or repair requirements, maintaining records as required.
- Work as part of the housing team to ensure that voids are processed promptly.
- Manage the processing of referrals to the service and update support staff as necessary.
- Assist Housing Coaches in supporting residents to maintain their accommodation.
- Accept cash rent payments from residents and update the resident rent accounts. Complete daily and weekly cashing up, manage petty cash and report accurately to
- Finance in line with IMPAKT Housing & Support’s processes. Provide administrative support including written correspondence, telephone calls, distribution of mail, maintaining manual and electronic records etc
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Will ideally have experience of working with vulnerable people in a supportive environment.
- Minimum Level 2 Certificate in supporting people at risk of homelessness, or
equivalent in social care, support services etc is desirable.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to engage and
communicate with individuals at all level.
- Willingness to develop within the job and undergo relevant training.
- Friendly personality with a good sense of humour.
- Clean enhanced DBS check.

SCHEDULE:
19 hours per week working 9am-5pm Mon & Tues and 9am-1pm on Wednesday
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £11,303.00 per hour
