As such we are looking for a full-time **Community Hubs Project Officer **to join our Autism Information and Advice Service on a **fixed term** basis (with possible extension dependent on funding).

You will assist the Autism Service Manager with the implementation and running of the Community Hubs project in South Derbyshire. The Community Hubs Project Officer will be responsible for communicating with stakeholders, promoting events in the local area which are relevant to Neurodivergent children, young people, parents/carers and offering face to face support as part of a triage service which involves making referrals to other services where required. You will also be required to support the Autism Helplines across Derby, Derbyshire, and Nottingham where needed as part of the role.

- _Is in possession of a full driving licence and use of a car, or otherwise able to fulfil the travel requirements necessary_

**Responsibilities / Key Tasks**:

- _Interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities_
- _To interpret information and present options to clients_
- _Assist clients with other related problems where they are an integral part of their case and refer to other advisers or specialist agencies as appropriate_
- _To maintain confidentiality, use discretion and sound judgement in undertaking all areas of responsibilities_
