**Credit Controller**

**Location: Saffron Walden, Essex**
**Salary Range: £28,000 - £30,000 pa plus excellent benefits**

A Credit Controller is required by long established innovative scientific manufacturer. The Credit Controller will be responsible for all aspects of Credit Control, Sales Ledger and Debtor Maintenance.
This is an office-based role.

**Duties**:
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the following:
All aspects of Sales Ledger to include:

- Raising invoices UK and International customers
- Raising Credit Notes for UK and International customers
- Obtaining proof of shipments and VAT exemption certificates as required.
- Debtor Maintenance to include:

- Setting up customer accounts
- Housekeeping for existing customer accounts
- Issuing monthly customer statements
- Credit Control to include:

- Maintaining strong relationships with all clients to ensure invoices are cleared for payment
- Checking new customer's credit ratings and agreeing terms of credit with directors
- Managing the timely and effective collection of all debts and payments
- Resolving all issues raised internally and externally around outstanding invoices
- Daily bank reconciliations and posting of banking transactions
- Provide cover for Purchase Ledger Processing Function
- Provide a high level of support to the Finance Director with ad-hoc tasks and projects.

**Desired Skills & Experience**:

- Experience of sales ledger and credit control
- High level of Excel skills - formulae, pivot tables, data manipulation
- Understanding of accounting ledgers and cash book interactions and transactions
- Experience with accounting systems (our client uses Pegasus Opera, but experience of this is not essential)
- Experience of working with multiple currencies and exporting
