Nirvana Care are looking for outstanding individuals to join our team as a Support Worker. You will be supporting and caring for young people who need someone to take a chance on them so that they have the opportunities needed to be able to thrive and develop the necessary skills to be able to successfully move on to independence or be ready for adult life. As a Support Worker in our established children’s home you will:

- Support Young People to attend meetings and reviews.
- Support Young people through targeted key working.
- To play an active role as a Keyworker for Young People; this role will involve writing reports such as care plans, risk assessments and other documentation kept on our young people, as well as attending various meetings.
- To support the Young People to gain and develop independent skills.
- To have regard for the personal welfare and safety of the Young People you are supporting.
- To maintain and promote good working relationships with stakeholders including local authority and emergency services, as well as the Young People that we care for and support daily.
- To maintain accurate notes and records.
- To monitor the health and safety of the property and ensure high levels of cleanliness.
- To complete training and engage in development opportunities.
- To provide emotional support and guidance to our Young People with complex needs and behaviour.
- Assist in the day to day running of the home.

**Schedule**

Full time 176-hour contract - 11 shifts a month plus sleep in

**Qualifications, requirements, and Skills**:

- You must be 21 or over to apply.
- Driving license
- Access to own vehicle
- Have a “can do” attitude and a person-centred approach.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have good communication skills, demonstrating a good level of spoken and written English.
- Treat all Individuals with respect, and dignity and be non-discriminatory in all aspects of the care delivery process.
- To have an Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be prepared to obtain one.

**Desirable**
- Level 3 NVQ in residential childcare / children’s and young people workforce (or equivalent).
