_Mercedes-Benz Truck & Van Northern Ireland’s only Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Dealership are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller. _

**Main job duties**:

- Ensure overdue letters, reminders, copy invoices and statements are sent out in a timely manner
- Responsible for processing outstanding accounts up to and including legal proceedings if necessary
- Month-end reporting, advising CEO of aged debt and debtor days
- Processing of Direct Debit payments, following up on any returned DDs on the banking portal
- Chair monthly debt meetings and proactively working with Senior Managers to manage and minimise aged debt
- Resolving invoice queries and addressing any discrepancies
- Issue of contract maintenance to customers on a monthly basis
- Allocate cash to customers on a timely basis when required
- Performing credit checks along with other ad-hoc finance duties
- Assisting with accounts administration duties, to contribute to the effective running of the Finance Department

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience of holding a Credit Control position is essential - a minimum of 3 years
- Ability and confidence to take the lead on credit control processes
- Excellent IT literacy in particular proficiency in excel and accounting software
- Excellent communication skills and confident in communicating with various departments across the department
- Excellent levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work on own initiative and organising your own calendar
- Ability to form strong working relationships, internally and externally
- Deliver a ‘can do’ and proactive approach at all times
