Job Introduction
As a result of an internal reorganisation to support the future growth of the business through two Divisions and six Regional management teams, Gleeson Homes is looking for a Regional Finance Business Partner to work closely alongside the East Yorkshire Regional management team which forms part of our Northern Division. This senior finance role will be based predominantly in the Regional office, although will require periodic visits to other Regional offices in the Division and the Head office in Sheffield to build and maintain excellent relationships with operational teams. They will formally report into our Homes FD but will require close day to day working with the Regional Managing Director and other senior Regional management to be successful in the role. The role will also have significant exposure to other key stakeholders including the Divisional Managing Director, Homes CE and CFO.

As a member of the senior Finance team, they will work alongside the existing Senior and Regional Finance Business Partners within the Division and be responsible for providing financial leadership, insight and support for operational teams in the Region. They will also work closely with the Central Finance team in ensuring that financial performance is appropriately communicated across the Region and provide analysis and understanding around both financial and non-financial KPIs in order to help the Region achieve its growth targets. The Regional Finance Business Partner will also have a key role in the budget setting and forecasting process, working with the Senior Finance Business Partner and Central Finance team at site, Regional and Divisional levels.

They will be an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual, able to lead change and drive targets to support the successful growth of the Region.

Main Responsibilities
- Key member of the senior Finance team, working alongside existing Senior and Regional Finance Business Partners and supporting the Homes FD
- Work closely with the Regional Managing Director providing and interpreting financial and operational KPI’s to help inform operational decision making and driving actions where needed
- Support and challenge Regional operational teams in assessing new site appraisals, tracking existing site performance and overheads management both in a financial and non-financial context
- Production of comprehensive monthly Regional reporting pack, including financial reports provided by the Central Finance team, and commentary covering operational and financial performance in conjunction with the Regional Managing Director
- Responsible for leading on the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for the Region, working closely alongside the Senior Finance Business Partner and Central Finance team
- Specific projects and other analysis as required by the Divisional Managing Director, Homes FD, CFO and wider business
- A qualified accountant (e.g. ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with at least 3-5 years post qualified experience
- Previous experience in a senior finance role, ideally with commercial or business partnering experience
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to develop strong relationships with key operational stakeholders
- High attention to detail, ensuring integrity in financial reporting and written reports
- A strong IT user able to deal effectively with a high volume of data
- An enthusiastic and ambitious team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to lead others
