**Software Engineering Practice Lead**

**£130,000 - £140,000**

**1-3 Days a week in London, 1 day a month in Leicester, Barcelona every quarter, India twice a year.**

I am currently looking for a Software Engineering lead to join a London Market insurer / leading speciality insurer.

Working within a semi Agile environment focusing on team delivery and 3rd party management, you will be responsible for for transformation, leading DevOps teams, quality assurance, and Software Engineering.

**Requirements**:
Essential:

- Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience in designing and building work flow and business process solutions, preferably in financial services or regulated companies
- Strong ability to interpret and shape requirements and specifications documentation (e.g. user stories)
- Excellent technical analysis skills
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, methods and tools
- Knowledge and experience of Agile product delivery methodologies within a DevOps environment (e.g., Scrum, Lean, Kanban, XP)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to listen, present and communicate solutions clearly and concisely with technical and non-technical audiences
- Experienced in quality assurance and testing approaches
- Able to interpret and contribute to architecture artefacts
- Experience with software solution monitoring, altering, logging, tracing and operations capabilities
- Experience in AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
- Deep experience in developing complex solutions using.NET framework (ASP.NET, C# & VB.NET)
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Familiarity using Python, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
