**About the role**

As an Evaluation & Learning Lead, you will need to be familiar with Margate as a location and be comfortable travelling around that area to get to know the community. This in an opportunity to work with different people form schools, nurseries, and authority services so you will be experienced in adapting to different audiences. You will be key in developing and implementing evaluation activities to monitor and measure the impact of the Margate Early Learning Communities.

**In this role, you will**:

- Develop and implement evaluation activities to support the aims and objectives of the Margate ELC, including activities that monitor the processes and outcomes of both the overarching ELC project and the individual workstreams within it
- Support local partner organisations to gather data and insights from projects they are delivering with the support of the Margate ELC, producing project learning reports and sharing learning across the community
- Record and collate findings, case studies and interviews with partners and families
- Collate and monitor data from across the ELC's workstreams, for sharing with partners, funders and the wider organisation (this will include performing relevant administrative tasks, such as inputting survey data)
- Build and maintain networks with data and evaluation leads from across our local partner organisations, acting as a local point of contact for early years data and evaluation work

**About you**

**To be successful, it is important that you have**:

- Experience of qualitative research, including designing and conducting interviews/focus groups and qualitative data analysis.
- Experience of working with quantitative data, including designing and administering surveys and analysing quantitative data
- Experience of evaluating projects and presenting data in an accessible, creative and meaningful way
- Strong interpersonal, communication skills with ability to establish and maintain excellent and effective working relationships with people at all levels, both in the organisation and externally
- Able to work in Margate at least 1-2 days per week as required
- Commitment to Save the Children's vision, mission and values.

**Ways of Working**:
Remote First - The majority of our roles can be performed remotely, however you may work from the office as often as you wish. Whilst you will be predominantly working from home, we may at times require you to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter). Note: This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team. This is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.

On-site - There are certain roles that cannot be performed remotely and so your role will be based in an office location and you may occasionally be able to work from home.
