Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for two (2) highly motivated and driven individuals to undertake the role of Information Governance Facilitators within the Information Governance Team.

These posts are primarily based at Parson’s Green site, although will mainly be remote working.

The Information Governance Facilitators will provide support and advice to staff on information governance queries. The post-holders will assist with processing requests for information under the Data Protection Act 2018, General Data Protection Regulations, Access to Health Records Act 1990 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The role is designed to ensure successful delivery of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit and Framework in the NHS.

As the post holder will be the first point of contact for the Information Governance Team and be required to liaise with patients, members of the public, colleagues across the Trust, external companies and other professional agencies they will need to have a polite, confident and professional manner.

Specialist knowledge of Information Governance in a Health and Social Care organisation is essential.

Central London Community Healthcare (CLCH) is one of the largest community healthcare organisations in London and Hertfordshire, providing our services to diverse communities/boroughs in 11 London Boroughs - Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hounslow, Kensington and Chelsea, Merton, Richmond, Wandsworth, Westminster - and Hertfordshire.

The post-holder will be a member of the Information Governance (IG) team at Central London Community Healthcare. The IG team will support CLCH staff to deliver high quality care whilst meeting legal requirements and best practice Information Governance standards.

The Information Governance Facilitator will play a key part in raising awareness of Information Governance and ensuring that CLCH meets national requirements throughout the organisation. The role will have responsibility for supporting services with the standards within the Data Protection and Security Toolkit. They will also be able to advice on the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The post-holder will be responsible for the management and processing of requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Subject Access Requests under the Data Protection Laws. They will also identify elements of good practice and promote this across the organisation.

Through leadership of the Head of Information Governance, the IG Facilitator will gather evidence and assurance for the Trust Board in relation to the annual Data Security and Protection Toolkit submission. They will deliver specialist IG training, to staff across the organisation on a regular basis.
