We are on the hunt for a supervisor to join Dean Banks at the Pompadour. We are looking for someone with amazing people skills, natural charisma and a passion for food and drink. But first of all, here is a little bit about us.

Dean Banks’ latest fine dining restaurant has landed in Edinburgh. Dean and his team have taken over the historic Pompadour restaurant at Waldorf Astoria, The Caledonian Hotel, Princes Street.

The restaurant embraces the same ethos as Haar Restaurant, St Andrews and showcase the best of land and sea.

The menu constantly evolves, reflecting the seasons. Dean heroes our land and seas, producing a menu which showcases Scotland’s natural resources. This includes the very best local produce from Edinburgh, Fife and beyond. Foraged seasonal produce is preserved to enjoy the fruits of Summer year-round. Each guest will enjoy a sensory experience like no other, which will leave a lasting memory.

Dean’s passion for food is truly reflected in each course which will take you on a journey through his past travels and experiences.

The restaurant recently gained 3AA rosettes.

We are looking to expand our current team, gearing up for a busy summer.

**About the Role**

Your Roles:

- opening and closing business
- cash ups
- To assist in the running of the business with the passion as though it was your own business
- Wet Stock control
- Controlling costs & driving sales growth
- Ensuring consistently excellent customer service is delivered.
- Managing service standards and staff development.
- Booking management
- Ensure the level of standards are met

The person we are looking for:

- Experience in a similar role.
- A strong commercial awareness
- Knowledge of drinks; including wine, spirits, cocktails
- Knowledge of food; including allergens, food safety
- Great leadership skills and enjoy working as part of a team in a social environment.
- The ability to communicate at all levels

**Further Notes**:
Organisation is a key part of the role and so the applicant must consider themselves to have a highly structured attitude to work with demonstrable experience of how they organise their time, workload and the tasks at hand.

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour
