The role:
Reporting to the Packaging Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Packaging team’s daily and weekly activities to meet the department’s KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) for internal and external customer requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring premium service and product quality at optimum cost, through conformance to the agreed ways of working.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Balances innovation with adherence to established processes and schedules.- Coordinates communication and activities across departments.- Monitors and communicates performance metrics, taking corrective actions.- Implements structured performance management processes and fosters accountability.- Manages and develops team members, addressing underperformance and motivating the team.- Ensures compliance with EHS, quality, and HACCP standards.- Addresses safety concerns and promotes safe practices.- Manages team compliance with EHS and quality standards.- Shares responsibility for departmental cost performance and improves resource consumption.- Supports capital projects and optimizes costs across departments.

- Demonstrates management and leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.- Handles industrial relations and manages significant changes effectively.- Challenges management and staff as needed, with strong influencing skills.- Works proficiently within a performance management framework.- Possesses extensive knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools, techniques, and project management.- Works independently, prioritizing tasks to meet strict KPIs and deadlines.- Utilizes VPO tools and techniques for improved performance.- Excels in data analysis and problem-solving.- Proficient in PC skills and software.- Self-motivated with strong communication and teamwork abilities.- Acts as a role model for organizational principles and promotes alignment within the department.
