Rolls Royce Submarines is responsible for the design, manufacture, supply and through-life support of nuclear propulsion-related products and systems in support of the Royal Navy's submarine fleet. You can find out more about the amazing projects that we are working on here:
We are looking for a Scrum Product Owner to join our Service data analytics software team who support the submarines enterprise by using in-service data to gain insights through data analytics and software implementation.

You will have the opportunity to learn about how Rolls-Royce Submarines supports the Royal Navy submarine fleet, work with a range of stakeholders with different backgrounds and expertise, understand their challenges and enable the development team to deliver valuable solutions.

What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for the delivery of new valuable products as well as maintaining and enhancing the capability of existing products that the team have developed.
- Working within a scaled scrum software development and data analytics environment, with multi-disciplined developers, Scrum Masters and Product Owners.
- Interacting and managing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will also educate stakeholders on the Agile Scrum development processes to set expectations and maximise collaboration to enable a delivery of a valued product.
- Managing and prioritising product backlogs, this will include but is not limited to the creation of product visions, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product roadmaps.

To be successful in this role you should have:

- Experience working within a software development environment. Experience with Agile practices either as Product Owner, Scrum Master or developer is preferable.
- Degree level education or equivalent, preferably in computing, scientific or engineering disciplines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to enable you to effectively collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders with varying technical and data analytics backgrounds.
- The ability to comfortably work in a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguity (VUCA) environment and work well under pressure with conflicting priorities.
- Strong prioritisation and rationalisation skills that enable you to break down complex problems into smaller elegant solutions and requirements.
