Cooks Blinds & Shutters Ltd are a successful family-owned Company, we have an opportunity for a experienced Welder to join our team on a fulltime, permanent basis. We specialise in installation, maintenance and repair of all types of doors. We are Hormann’s leading trade partner in the UK.

Due to securing several long running contracts we are looking to expand our workforce in the new year with the following;
**Role & Responsibilities**:
**Welder fabricators**

Job Specification

Must have:
1. Ability to fabricate and weld Single/Multi-fillet, Butt and Tube on plate welds using MAG 135 to BS EN ISO 9606-1:2013 standards.

2. High levels of experience of Architectural Metalwork and Structural Steelwork.

3. Work accurately and quickly to Engineering drawings and Arrangements with minimum supervision.

4. Work within a production team environment.

Main duties: Fabrication, preparation of components and welding of Structural mild steel and galvanised metalwork including Roller Shutter Door barrels in house and on site.

Reporting to: Workshop Supervisors

**A successful Welding Engineer must have**:

- Have previous experience and hold relevant qualifications
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Flexible on working hours
- Physically fit
- CSCS, qualifications are desirable.
- Communication and interpersonal skills (both internal and external)
- Drivers licence essential
- Previous field work experience within the industry is essential.
- Electrical and Mechanical Skills

**In return you will get**:

- Regular overtime is paid after 40hrs at time and a half
- Competitive salary depending on experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.00-£13.25 per hour
