My Client is a leading supplier of apparel to the leading high street and supermarket and online retailers, working with factories in Turkey, China, India and Bangladesh.

A permanent position has arisen for a Fabric Technologist at their busy head office in South Manchester.

**Duties of the job will include the following**:

- Management and maintaining the Base Fabric Library for various retailers.
- Managing Core/Base Fabric submissions to maintain continued approval.
- Working on Retailer Systems to process submissions and approvals.
- Instructing the factories on necessary testing and checking of test reports on a style-by-style basis for several retailers.
- Reviewing any failed tested pieces for all retailers, for commercial approval or re-testing and sending where necessary to retailers for commercial approval.
- Reviewing test reports and identifying areas where improvements can be made.
- Supporting suppliers/mills in solving fabric performance issues.
- Working closely with the Design Department to develop the use of new fabrics.

**About you**:

- Our client is looking for someone who can work as part of a team, with a positive attitude.
- Confident and clear communication skills, both verbal and written, with manufacturers, retailers and within the office environment.
- Someone who is well organised and flexible, with a logical and analytical mind, and excellent administration skills.
- Someone who works well under pressure, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Full driving license is essential.
- A graduate or up to 2 years experience in a related area.
- Knowledge of Excel would be advantageous.
