We are seeking a talented Fabric Technologist to join our passionate team of designers, engineers, and innovators. As a Fabric Technologist for our fashion company, you will play a key role in developing and sourcing fabrics that align with our brand's aesthetic, performance, and sustainability goals. You will collaborate closely with design, production, and sourcing teams to drive innovation, ensure quality, and bring our creative visions to life.

**Responsibilities**:

- Research and analyse emerging trends, technologies, and materials in the fashion and têxtile industry.
- Collaborate with design teams to understand fabric requirements and develop innovative fabric solutions that meet aesthetic and performance criteria.
- Source and evaluate fabric samples from suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, sustainability, and ethical standards.
- Conduct fabric testing and analysis to assess physical properties, performance characteristics, and compliance with industry standards.
- Work with production teams to optimize fabric production processes and ensure consistency in quality and performance.
- Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams on fabric-related issues and solutions.
- Manage fabric development projects from concept to production, including timeline planning, sample tracking, and communication with stakeholders.
- Stay updated on fashion trends, consumer preferences, and sustainability initiatives to inform fabric development strategies.
- Collaborate with suppliers and partners to explore new fabric innovations and sustainable materials.
- Document fabric specifications, test results, and development processes to maintain accurate records and ensure traceability.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, Materials Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in fabric development, sourcing, or technical roles within the fashion industry.
- Strong knowledge of têxtile fibers, yarns, construction techniques, dyeing, printing, and finishing processes.
- Experience with fabric testing methods and equipment, including physical, chemical, and performance testing.
- Familiarity with sustainability principles and initiatives in the fashion and têxtile industry.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality and aesthetics.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in fashion and fabric technology.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Pay: £19,338.99-£36,426.43 per year
