Our client Envision are an established, rapidly expanding manufacturing business currently looking to recruit an experienced Indirect Buyer to join their team.

**Overall Purpose**:

- We are an ambitious organisation and are looking for an equally ambitious and innovative Indirect Buyer to join the UK Purchasing function to support business development in an industry and organisation with high growth potential.

**Key Duties**:

- Liaise with Engineering and Project teams. Where appropriate develop the procurement strategy for each project. Aid in the make or buy decision process.
- Collate Specifications, Technical and Quality requirements and produce detailed ITT’s for formal issue to the Supply Chain (RFI - RFQ), and final bid analysis.
- Develop and Implement standard tendering documentation including compliancy and evaluation templates (with global purchase & legal).
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier’s reputation and history.
- Manage the ITT process involving all relevant stakeholders and ensure appropriate Technical and End User reviews are incorporated and recorded within the tender review and decision-making process.
- Evaluate Tender responses in terms of Safety, Health & Environment, Quality and Value for Money (TdC).
- Assist in the identification of new suppliers and ensure due diligence is carried out for all new sources of supply.
- Negotiate Terms and conditions ensuring compliance with relevant International Laws and Trading practices, and INCOTERMS.
- Negotiate Plant and Machinery maintenance contracts and leasing arrangements (where required).
- Coordinate contract milestones, drawings, documentation, deliverables (e.g. FAT’s and acceptance events), and obtain critical spares lists from suppliers. Document handover to functions and purchase teams.
- Support local and global team on import and export (freight forwarders) requirements i.e. customs docs etc.
- Manage supply chain risk. Manage the supply base and manage critical supplier performance
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance following contract placement to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes.

**Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required**:

- Experience of Plant and Machinery Procurement and Capital Expenditure Purchases in excess of £500K value.
- Experience of purchasing at an International level and negotiating in foreign/local currency.
- Experience in contract and risk management.
- Experience with INCOTERMS and international imports.
- Possession or studying towards CIPS accreditation.
- IT skills (MS Office Package).
- Good awareness of Procurement best practice procedures.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills.
- Commercial and contractual awareness.
- Analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
