**JOB PURPOSE**:
The overall purpose of the Finance Business Partner is to provide pro-active

financial support to the business working closely with the Head of Finance.

**KEY TASKS**

1. To be responsible for the preparation of timely management accounts for the business, in accordance with the monthly management accounts timetable.

2. To undertake monthly meetings with budget holders for the relevant business area to discuss their management accounts and provide insight to enable operational decision making.

3. To be responsible for control account reconciliations including monthly prepayment and accruals for the relevant business area, monthly salary recharges and sundry debtors and trade creditors

4. To be responsible for the review of monthly account codes, correcting errors, and providing advice and guidance to budget holders and other operational staff, regarding the importance of correct coding.

5. To undertake monthly tasks in a timely way including the posting and approval of journals and the preparation of monthly reconciliations, to ensure adherence to the monthly close down timetable Statutory accounts and returns.

6. To provide input and support to the financial appraisals and viability of the organisation’s new homes programme.

7. To develop, implement and produce monthly performance reporting for the business including the maintaining of performance dashboards.

8. To contribute to the production of statutory accounts and regulatory returns, in accordance with the agreed timetable, and to liaise with the external auditors in the provision of clear working papers and information.

9. Undertake any other duties consistent with this role and which may be required from time to time.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Essential qualifications & experience**
- Experienced qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACA, CIMA or CCAB) qualified, with good commercial knowledge.
- Proven track record of operating in an accountancy or financial services role, preferably within a housing association.
- Experience of working in a highly regulated environment.
- Experience of financial and business planning, annual reporting and monitoring financial performance.

**Essential skills, knowledge & abilities**
- Demonstrable track record of delivering effective change and high performance.
- Knowledge of Social Landlord FRS102 and the Housing SORP.
- Knowledge of company law.
- Ability to embed constant, efficient practices across the organisation.
- Be IT literate (MS Office particularly EXCEL) and have strong analytical skills.
- Ability to write and explain financial reports to non-financial colleagues.
- Excellent People skills, with a collaborative/consultative working style, that builds good relationships.
- Able to think creatively, analytically, and strategically whilst working practically, under pressure, managing time and prioritising conflicting demands for self and others.

**Personal qualities & circumstances**
- Able to travel and work occasional unsocial hours.
- Passionate about working within charitable, not for profit organisations.
- Understanding of and respect for CRHA’s values and purpose.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

Pay: £36,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
