**What can we offer you?**

10- 12 week summer placement positions are available in the QC (Quality Control) or Pharmaceutical Development department at our Macclesfield site in Cheshire. There are a variety of areas offering placements:
**Quality Assurance Support Officer** - This role has a very practical emphasis on drug sampling, drug archiving and package components testing. The role will be based predominantly in our Site Archive and QA Sampling Facility and ensure the drugs manufactured at the site are safe for consumption and comply with industry standards.

**Quality Control Technician**:

- This role is lab based in either an analytical chemistry or microbiology QC lab. The quality control of our finished products is our top priority; our chemistry lab technicians perform a range of analytical chemistry tests (FTIR, HPLC analysis, Thin layer chromatography, Dissolution) on finished products to ensure they meet our exacting quality standards before allowing them to be released. Our Microbiology teams provide essential expertise to the pharmaceutical manufacturing areas on site.

The Process Assurance team assist with the collection and interpretation of environmental monitoring sample results, our Product Quality team perform a range of common microbiological tests on our raw materials, water and finished products (bioburden, endotoxin & sterility testing) and the Water, Support and ID team monitor the quality of water used on site to ensure they meet the quality requirements, perform microbial identification of isolates utilising a range of technologies and supply sterile equipment and media to support the environmental monitoring and product testing QC activities.

**Pharmaceutical Development Microbiology Associate Scientist**:

- This role is based in the microbiology laboratories. The role will be supporting the development of microbiology control strategies for new modalities in our development pipelines. The role will predominantly be laboratory based supporting scientists with the development of endotoxin methodologies.

**QMS Principal Support Officer
- **This role is office based & will involve providing support to the lively Quality Management Systems (QMS) team. This team is responsible for the oversight of the quality systems and business processes followed across Macclesfield site (deviations, complaints & product release).
