**Job description**:
Apollo Home Healthcare have an exciting opportunity for a **Payroll Apprentice** to join our central team in **Codsall, Wolverhampton.**
- **Full Time, Permanent**:

- **Office Based - Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm)**:

- **Salary from £10,296 (in line with National Minimum Wage)**

As a Payroll Apprentice, you will work as part of a small, dedicated team who play a pivotal role in processing the weekly payroll for approx. 800 temporary members of staff.

No experience is necessary as full training will be provided. However applicants must be committed with a genuine desire to learn and develop, as you will be required to undertake a Payroll Administrator NVQ.

Your main duties will be to assist with the processing of the weekly and monthly Payroll for all temporary and permanent workers, including:

- Processing of weekly expenses for all Offices.
- Administering of PAYE tax codes, as notified by HMRC.
- Creating new workers records.
- Processing of holiday pay, Sickness (SSP) and Maternity pay (SMP).
- Processing deductions and attachment of earnings orders (AOE).
- Uploading pension information and issuing pension letters to workers.
- Completing any requests from HMRC/DWP regarding employees’ earnings.
- Supporting the team with the daily general administrative duties.
- Gain an understanding of all processes across the Payroll Team.
- Ensure all practices and processes are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.

**Skills Required**:

- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and time effectively.
- Attention to detail and strong numeracy skills.
- Computer Literate
