Wellbeing & Activities Support Worker

As part of a team responsible for the delivery of support to residents to live as independently as possible within the Extra Care environment, we are looking for an excellent communicator who is customer focused, approachable, enthusiastic and who shares our commitment to community involvement.
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering engaging sessions and supporting scheme events that are imaginative and fun along with motivational activities that suit every interest and ability.
- Undertaking daily “safe & well” system calls with all residents, with visits when required.
- Completing support plans & risk assessments with all residents
- Delivering basic support tasks to help maintain independence, engaging with third parties as required
- Liaising with and offering support to the scheme’s social committee.
- Developing relationships and service initiatives with outside agencies to develop the community and individual wellbeing offers for residents.
The skills, knowledge & experience required;
- A creative approach to delivering engaging activities and events
- Knowledge of support services for older people & safeguarding vulnerable people
- Customer focussed and calm under pressure with a flexible approach to duties
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent people skills and ability to communicate effectively with older people
- PC literate and good administration skills
- Good level of education to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Satisfactory Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: Up to £22,628.00 per hour
