About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our recruitment centre of expertise. Working in collaboration with hiring managers and the wider HR team, you’ll ensure a highly efficient and tailored recruitment service from start to finish.
The Talent Acquisition team has only recently been established. A lot of core systems, processes and strategies are in place, but there's room for improvement and more to be done.
We’re a wonderfully diverse organisation employing everything from Gardeners and Retail Assistants to Building Surveyors, IT Systems Analysts and Senior Executives. The sheer breadth of roles will present you with some truly fascinating, and often unique, challenges.
**What you can expect from the role**:

- You’ll be responsible for recruiting the best possible talent into volume, specialist, operational and strategic roles at all levels. As well as managing your own portfolio of campaigns, you’ll provide professional support and best practice advice to colleagues and hiring managers.
- As an expert in your field, you’ll bring market and data insight to create effective and innovative attraction strategies, involving direct sourcing, social and online media/channels, and events to engage active and passive audiences, paying attention to diverse pipelines of talent.
- You’ll also develop new and existing partnerships with agencies and other third parties.
- With an innovative approach, you’ll own and drive forward key projects to continually improve our talent acquisition activities, including process and policy improvements, hiring manager development, inclusive recruitment practices and employer brand optimisation.

About you
As a recruitment expert and trusted partner with previous in-house experience, you’re comfortable handling a wide variety of campaigns including senior executive, specialist/niche and volume requirements.
A capable people manager and coach, you're able to lead, develop and inspire new talent as well as support colleagues and hiring managers.
With good knowledge of and contacts in the recruitment market, you’ll have extensive experience of working with third parties and the negotiation skills to develop lasting and commercially focused relationships.
Bringing creativity and great market insight, you’ll be experienced in a range of attraction strategies, including direct sourcing capability.
Adept at using different selection techniques, you’ll ensure all decision making is objective and transparent. Experience of in-person/virtual interviews, assessment centres and practical assignment/skills tests is essential. Being qualified to use psychometric assessments is ideal, although training can be provided.
Digitally fluent with great analytical skills and experience of using and developing ATS systems, you regularly analyse data and draw insights to inform decision making.
A natural communicator and collaborator used to partnering at all levels, you'll hit the ground running, building credibility and influence.
With strong organisation and time management skills and the ability to work at pace, you’ll juggle competing priorities, easily switching between operational and strategic project work to deliver results.
Pro-active, with lots of initiative and resourcefulness, you’ll enjoy bringing new ideas to continually review and improve the delivery of our recruitment services.
