**About the Role**

The Vice President of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth and overseeing all aspects of the sales function within the company.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies to expand market presence, maximize sales opportunities, and achieve revenue targets.
- Leading and inspiring a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Building strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners to maintain customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
- Identifying emerging market trends, assessing competitive threats, and leveraging opportunities to enhance the company’s market position.
- Possessing strong business acumen, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrating a deep understanding of the industry, including customer segments, distribution channels, and the competitive landscape.
- Utilising analytical thinking, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to travel as required to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support regional sales teams.

**Essential functions of the role include**:

- Sales Strategy Development: Analysing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify sales opportunities and formulate effective strategies.
- Team Leadership: Leading and motivating the sales team, setting performance targets, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Sales Performance Management: Establishing sales targets, metrics, and KPIs, regularly analysing sales data, and providing guidance to ensure sales objectives are met or exceeded.
- Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
- New Business Development: Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the company’s presence in the industry.
- Sales Forecasting and Budgeting: Collaborating with the executive team to develop sales forecasts and budgets, monitoring sales performance, and recommending adjustments as needed.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Staying informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating closely with other departments to ensure alignment and maximize business outcomes.
