**Media Designer**

Do you know how to inform and engage through social media, video and animation?

At Bakkavor, we are looking for an enthusiastic Media Designer with a passion for videography, animation and design to work alongside our Group Design team.

You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects for various internal and external platforms including our intranet and social media channels.

Reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer and working as part of a small creative design team, this role is primarily responsible for producing top quality digital media content through our internal and external video and social media channels. As part of this remit, the role will provide support in monitoring the effectiveness of our social media and community engagement.

The role will also support broader graphic design, animation and illustration requirements when appropriate for the brief.

Being part of a small team, our work is fast paced with tight deadlines - as well as ensuring that the creative is of a consistently high standard, you will take personal responsibility for time management to ensure that work is delivered within agreed timescales.

**Main Duties**
- Creating a variety of engaging visual content to sit across our internal and external channels - capturing imagery, and filming and editing short videos and interviews, writing captions, building graphics and visual stories for maximum engagement.
- Working on multiple pipeline schedules for several platforms, creating engaging content for all social media platforms we are on
- Supporting the External Communications Team in monitoring social media engagement, content scheduling, analytics reporting and community management - you will also be responsible for ensuring the visuals are meeting our key channel goals
- Following our corporate brand guidelines and be able to interpret briefs creatively and respond pro-actively to feedback
- Planning and producing high-quality video content and animations that align with the brand's voice and style
- Developing graphic design, animation and illustration, when appropriate for the brief
- Collaborating with other members of the Design Team to maximise creative excellence, participate in brainstorming sessions, and contributing creative ideas for new multimedia projects
- Gathering design references, creating mood boards and contributing complete visual assets to communicate ideas to stakeholders to ensure we are on trend and up-to-date with best practices
- Responsible for admin duties to include keeping all files and formats up to date each month.

**About You**
- The ability to demonstrate a strong portfolio which showcases social media concept, videography and editing ideally with previous experience and a relevant qualification
- The competency to balance delivery of fresh and innovative digital content that’s relevant and engaging for the audience, whilst adhering to corporate brand guidelines
- A passion for visual design, creative flair and willingness to learn
- Good awareness of industry trends that can help us produce better, more consistent work.
- Excellent visual and user-focused design skills, with a keen eye for detail and a low margin of error
- A self-starter and efficient with time but also a great collaborator and communicator with team members, showing willingness to assist with other projects when required
- Good time management skills to meet tight deadlines across multiple projects and cope with change in priorities
- Willing to assist with other design projects on demand
- Knowledge of Mac, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects is essential
- Additional knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Social Media Management is an advantage
