**ASD Specialist / SEND Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor**

A brilliant, new build school based in Basford, Nottingham (NG6) are actively seeking full time staff to support students with additional needs and behaviour difficulties, ASD in particular across EYFS and KS1.

The EYFS unit has over 90 students, many with additional needs who require 1:1 support and behaviour mentoring throughout the day. The school are looking for someone who has an understanding of supporting learning for students with SEND as well as an individualwho takes initiative and shows flexibility in their day to day work.

You will be required to work both as a general assistant to the classroom teacher as well as working 1:1 if required.

The school have very large grounds, great resources for learning through play as well as opportunities to be taken on a permanent contract basis. They are a warm, welcoming school and value each member of staff. They have a lot of supply staff on a day today basis allowing you to work with new people on a day to day basis.
- SEND / ASD Knowledge
- Ability to work well under stressful and busy circumstances as it is a big school.
- Ability to take initiative and assist other members of staff as and when required.
- Flexibility in working 1:1, with small groups and larger classes.
- EYFS / KS1 National Curriculum knowledge
- DBS certificate on the Update Service which we can assist with.
