We're looking for a Road Safety Apprentice to join our Transportation team based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Safety, Health and the Environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.

**Location**: Brixworth, Northamptonshire

**Contract**: Permanent

**Salary**: £16,000 per annum

**How does an apprenticeship work?**

As a Road Safety Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Safety, Health and the Environment, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Road Safety team to deliver a variety of road safety interventions, committing to reducing the number of people injured in road traffic collisions in both North and West Northamptonshire.

Your day to day will include:

- Delivering road safety interventions, including speaking at schools, holding educational sessions for road users and providing safety information at public events
- Meeting with elected officials and members of the public to understand their concerns
- Utilising various technologies to understand the effectiveness of reducing the overall speed of traffic in certain areas
- Providing advice to the team, elected members, the client and members of the public on matters relating to interventions, and the placement of signage, to reduce the frequency and severity of speeding vehicles
