At PerkinElmer we are committed to providing innovative solutions and forging progressive partnerships for a safer and healthier world. To strengthen our European Applications team, we are looking for a Scientific Expert to support our Microfluidics and molecular biology solutions.

As an Applications Specialist you will be part of a team of specialists supporting the sales account managers and customers across EMEAI. The role can be based anywhere near to an international airport in the UK.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Participate in product demonstrations, tradeshows and exhibitions in the field of microfluidics
- Provide information and consultation about our solutions, to internal and external customers
- Manage geographic territory with regard to sales support activities, including:

- Generate product interest and awareness
- Perform qualification visits
- Analyze customer samples in our in-house Applied Genomics Training Facility
- Interpret and present results back to customers
- Troubleshooting
- Training and follow up
- Build and maintain strong relationship with internal and external customers

**Your profile**:

- Master or PhD degree in the field of biotechnology or molecular biology or relevant working experience
- Energetic, results-driven with excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to think strategically, articulate a shared vision and defend strategic insights
- Fluent English (spoken and written) required - Second European language would be an advantage
- Thorough knowledge in MS Office suite
- Willingness for at least 60% travel - Home office based
