Our client is a global business who have a niche offering. They have an opportunity within their business for a Procurement Specialist to join their team. This role will be responsible for sourcing goods and services at the most competitive value whilst maintainingquality. This role will also be involved with analysing and preparing contracts and liaising with the senior management team as well as vendors to meet requirements.
**Job Description**:

- Identify preferred and where required secondary suppliers of goods and services
- Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
- Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods
- Create purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and orders
- Analyse invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered
- Monitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positive
- Attend meetings with the legal department to ensure any contractual obligations are favorable to the company
- Work closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirements
- Build strong relationships with the Operations team and other senior leaders to influence resource allocation and optimisation.
- Develop and maintain key performance metrics and dashboards that drive the operational organisation regarding supplies of materials
- Establishment and execution of the Procurement Strategy, KPI's, Metrics, and objectives in alignment with the Company Goals.
- Responsible for completion of appropriately assigned Continuous Improvement initiatives and communication to appropriate stakeholders
- Always represent the company in a professional manner to fellow employees and subordinates as well as distributors, customers, and shareholders
- Support to Supply Chain in terms of processing CAPA / Complaints in a 'Rapid Response' methodology.
It would be good to see Procurement Specialists' with the following experience:

- CIPS qualification required
- Degree in relevant field would be advantageous
- Strong procurement experience ideally within a medical arena - 3 - 5 years
- Excellent negotiation and critical thinking skills
- Experienced within a Continuous improvement environment and be able to demonstrate success - ideally qualified to green or black belt
- Strong communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Someone who is flexible to be able to travel to meet with vendors and suppliers
- The ability to present ideas to groups effectively
- Confident demeanor with the ability to work with a diverse range of people and cultures
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft packages
Hours: 35 hours per week (although sometimes this role may involve more)

**Salary**: £32,000 to £40,000
