Procurement Specialist

Key duties will include:
- Identifying preferred and secondary suppliers
- Negotiate terms with suppliers
- Liaising with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods
- Attending meetings with the legal department to ensure any contractual obligations are favourable to my client
- Assisting with the preparation and analysis of contracts
- Developing and maintaining key performance metrics
- Completing assigned Continuous Improvement initiatives and communications
- Taking responsibility for the procurement strategy for material s in the R&D phase
Key skills and experience required:
- Previous experience as procurement specialist is essential
- Open, confident team player
- Experience in a continuous Improvement environment is essential
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office - PowerPoint, Excel, Teams
- Strong commercial awareness and critical thinking skills
