We're delighted to announce that we have an opening for a full-time, long-term position as the Third In Charge. The salary and additional benefits are very competitive. As a Third-in-Charge and practitioner, we'll provide you with the necessary support to connect with the children, building their trust and encouraging their inquisitiveness. Your role will focus on preparing them for their future adventures while nurturing their love for learning.

**Third-In-Charge - Overview**

The main aim of this role is to assist and provide support in the day-to-day running and organisation of the nursery. In addition, there will be some smaller responsibilities for certain regular tasks. The main goal is to make sure that all children attending the nursery receive top-quality care, are kept safe, and have fun and educational experiences

**Third In Charge - Qualifications & Experience**

**Third In Charge - Key Responsibilities**

The main tasks for this role include:

- Helping Room Leaders with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) programme, such as planning and keeping records.
- Making sure all rules and regulations are followed, including those related to registration, special needs, child protection, and safety. Also follow company policies.
- Encouraging and nurturing relationships with parents, carers, and other family members.
- Acting as Deputy Manager when the Deputy Manager is away, if needed.
- Promoting inclusive practices and supporting children with special needs.
- Knowing and following emergency and security procedures for the nursery, and taking responsibility for opening and closing it as necessary.
- Working with the manager to understand and support staff during inspections by Ofsted (the regulatory body), and helping implement any recommendations.
- Assisting in the induction process for new staff, and providing ongoing supervision and support.

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
