**Advanced Practitioner - Rochdale
- Children's Long Term Team**

The Family Support and Protect Service in Rochdale are looking for an agency Advanced Practitioner.
You will be responsible for a small caseload of 14/16 children and for supporting the Team Manager in raising quality and standards across your team. The Family Support and Protect Service work with children from Child Protection plans all the way through toadoption so there are some excellent opportunities to showcase your skills and experience. This is a real opportunity to develop your management skills, coach and mentor your team and work in a supportive and creative service.
We have a commitment to continuing to embed our Relational Practice Model and to keeping caseloads at a manageable level to be able to achieve that. This is an exciting time to join Rochdale as we start to progress into a Family Safeguarding way of workingwhich will see our service expand and our caseloads reduce so that we can continue to work with and support our children and families.
Our agency workers are seen as an important resource for us and as such are given the same level of support and opportunities as our permanent staff. This includes flexible working and a supportive work life balance.
We are looking for an agency worker who has experience in managing complex child protection work and care proceedings.

**Your main responsibilities include**:

- Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision, guidance, and support, reflecting the function of the team and the Vulnerable People Service in accordance with policy, procedures, guidance and legislation.
- Undertake work within legislative frameworks including the preparation of written statements and representations to the judiciary at Court hearings.
- You will be accountable for complex decision making in relation to caseloads ensuring professional judgement, service user involvement, needs led assessment, critical reflection, and analysis to inform this.
- You will identify and assess levels of risk and need (within statutory frameworks) in often complex situations. Undertake safeguarding investigations and deliver protective and/or supportive services for individuals at risk and maintain up to date assessments,care plans and reviews.
- You will be preparing statements of need/care and support plans, in consultation with other agencies as appropriate, that reflect the wishes of the individual and lead to the commissioning of personalised packages of care.
- You will undertake direct work with adults and their families in line with care plans.
- You will work co-operatively with both internal and external colleagues across multi - agency boundaries.

**Essential requirements**:

- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- 2 years+ post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
